VIDEO: Gunman Jumps Out From Dumpster, Opens Fire On Dallas Cops, Gets Destroyed

A gunman was fatally shot by Dallas police officers after initiating a gunfight with the police.

Dallas, TX – A man was fatally shot by Dallas police officers after he jumped out from behind a dumpster and opened fire on the officers. A bystander recorded part of the gunfight (video below).

The incident happened at around 2:46 p.m. in the 3400 block of Great Trinity Forest Way, according to KTVT.

Officers responded to a call for a shooting at an apartment complex. When they arrived on scene they located a shooting victim and had him transported to the hospital.

Officers then received another call that the gunman was hiding behind a dumpster in the 5000 block of Cranfrill Drive, according to KTVT.

As the officers arrived at that location, the gunman jumped out from behind the dumpster and opened fire on officers.

A bystander captured cell phone footage of the shooting.

The suspect was fatally shot by officers during the gunfight, no officers were wounded.

No information has been released about the deceased suspect at this time. No further information has been released about the initial shooting.
