State Attorney Aramis Ayala To Announce She Won’t Seek Maximum Sentence For Markeith Loyd
No Death Penalty For Markeith Loyd As State Attorney Aramis Ayala Denies Justice To Fallen Heroes
Orlando, Florida – State Attorney Aramis Ayala is expected to hold a press conference on Thursday announcing that she will not be seeking the death penalty for Markeith Loyd.
Orlando Police Department Lieutenant Debra Clayton contacted Markeith Loyd outside of a Walmart on January 9th when he was wanted for murdering his pregnant girlfriend, Sade Dixon. When Lt. Clayton asked Loyd to stop, he responded by shooting her to death.
Immediately after Marketih Loyd murdered Lt. Debra Clayton, Orange County Deputy Norman Lewis was killed when he was struck by a vehicle while searching for Loyd.
If anybody deserves the death penalty, surely it’s the scumbag who killed a pregnant woman and a police hero in cold blood, and was also responsible for the death of another law enforcement officer.
State Attorney Aramis Ayala appears to disagree with that assessment. Sade Dixon’s parents said that Ayala told them that she would not seek the death penalty against Loyd.
Orlando Police Chief John Mina issued the following statement in response:
I have spoken with the State Attorney and I’m extremely upset that she will not be seeking the death penalty for triple murderer Markeith Loyd.
I have seen the video of Markeith Loyd executing Lt. Debra Clayton while she lay defenseless on the ground. She was given no chance to live. A cop killer – who also killed his pregnant girlfriend – should not be given that chance.
The heinous crimes that he committed in our community are the very reason we have the death penalty as an option under the law.
FOP Lodge 25 also placed the blame for this horrendous decision on George Soros, noting that Soros $819,734 to see that Ayala got elected. The FOP lodge president, Shawn Dunlap, issued the following statement:
Multiple sources are advising that Orange/Osceola State Attorney Aramis Ayala will be holding a press conference tomorrow to announce that she WILL NOT be seeking the death penalty in the double murder case against Markeith Loyd.
If this is information is correct, this would be an epic injustice to the family of Lt. Debra Clayton as well as every single Law Enforcement Officer in the 9th Judicial Circuit.
The death penalty is the law of the land in the State of Florida and I believe that if there ever was a case for its use this would be the one. Not only did Loyd kill Lt. Clayton, he killed his girlfriend, her unborn child and his manhunt directly caused the death of Deputy Norm Lewis.
I believe we are quickly seeing the results of the $819,734 that anti-death penalty, progressive liberal George Soros’ spent to assure the candidate who aligns with his philosophy won the race for State Attorney. There is no shortage of reports of how Soros has manipulated political races across the country.
I can only hope that the community will get involved and contact the State Attorney and let her know that her position is not in line with the will of the people.
Let’s get the message out that State Attorney Aramis Ayala’s decision does not represent the will of the people.
If you are in the Orlando area, please stop by in person and let them know what you think. Anybody can also call her office at 407-836-2400; be mindful that Ayala is unlikely to personally speak with you so be respectful to the employee who answers the phone. Finally, more than anything, please spread the word about this injustice.
