Mamaroneck, NY – Project Veritas continued posting videos on Wednesday that showed a Presidential campaign organizer for U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) praising Russian concentration camps and saying there are some things more important than U.S. laws.
Project Veritas Founder James O’Keefe tweeted out the first video on Tuesday featuring a montage of bizarre and frightening statements made by a man identified as Sanders’ campaign organizer Kyle Jurek.
He has since tweeted out a series of additional videos that, among other things, openly challenged the First Amendment and threatened people who disagreed with his viewpoint.
“Free speech has repercussions” Jurek warned in one video. “Yeah, there are consequences to your f–king speech, right?”
The first video began with a prediction that cities would burn, and people would riot if Sanders didn’t get the Democratic nomination and then elected.
“So if Trump gets re-elected, what?” a man asked from off camera.
“F–king cities will burn,” Jurek predicted on the first video.
Then he made reference to the riots at the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago, but he got the decade wrong.
“Be ready to be in Milwaukee for the DNC convention,” he said. “We’re gonna make 1978 look like a f–king Girl Scout’s f–king cookout.”
“The cops are gonna be the ones that are getting f–king beaten in Milwaukee,” Jurek predicted in the video.
He also took up the cause of murderous Soviet Union gulags during the second World War.
“There’s a reason Joseph Stalin had gulags, right?” Jurek asked. “And actually, gulags were a lot better than what the CIA has told us that they were.”
Then the Democratic campaign organizer went on to defend the former Soviet Union’s prisons where 25 million people were locked up and tens of thousands died.
“Like, people were actually paid a living wage in gulags,” Jurek explained. “They had conjugal visits in gulags. Gulags were actually meant for like education.”
“Greatest way to break a f–king billionaire of their like, privilege and their idea that they’re superior,” Jurek clapped his hands together in the video. “Go out and break rocks for 12 hours a day. You’re now a working-class person and you’re going to learn what that f–king means, right?”
On Wednesday, the bizarre praise of Soviet gulags continued in another video posted by O’Keefe.
“So like that was the intention of gulags, right?” Jurek asked. “Not only to elim – like, remove, like people that were like insidious to the state from the state. Like ‘hey, you guys are all causing problems, you’re like, working against the revolution. We’re just going to remove you and put you in Siberia, where you can learn the f–king value of like, being a comrade.’ And that’s like, and that’s what it has to be.”
“Like our prisons in the United States right now are far worse, far worse than anything they experienced in the f–king gulag,” Jurek contended. “Like people get raped. People f–king work 12 hours a day. People have to go fight fires in California for a dollar. You know what I mean? Like that’s f–ked up. That’s super f–ked up. Soviet Union didn’t do that s–t.”
Then he went on to praise Cuban communist strategies and dictators.
“And there are a lot of mes in the Bernie campaign,” Jurek bragged. “I mean the whole basis of communism is like people and planet above property. Like we’re here to preserve the planet, to preserve people. We don’t want to have to f–king have to eliminate people, right? But if people are going to try to fight back against the revolution, like when you hear about like, uh, so like ‘atrocities’ committed by like, in Cuba, by like Fidel and Che, like killing people.”
“Like those people that were actively like, they were like anti-revolution,” the Bernie staffer explained. “They were fighting against the revolution. Like in any war, like if you guys were in war, and you encounter people that were fighting against you, what did you do to those people?”
“Kill ‘em?” the person he was talking to asked.
“Right,” Jurek agreed. “Same thing holds true in a revolution, right? Like you can’t abide people actively working against your f–king revolution. Like you can give them a choice. Be like, hey, you can join the revolution. You can not be a bootlicker. You could sit idly by and allow it to happen but if you’re going to take up arms against the revolution, then you should expect a violent response. Right? Like it’s f–king natural.”
“Fight or Die?” the other person asked.
“Yeah,” Jurek said. “And that’s kinda where we’re at right now. We’re at one of those moments in human history where it’s like we’re fighting for survival. We’re fighting for both survival of the entire human race, we’re fighting for the survival of living creatures on planet earth, and there’s some people who will stop at nothing to preserve that, right? Like to see, to see the human race continue into the future, right? To try and save the f–king planet from f–king destruction. And no matter what country or what laws that exist, they’re irrelevant to, there are greater things than those systems, right?”
“There are things that are more important than the rule of law in the United States when it comes down to the existence of the human race,” he continued. “And that’s where we’re at. Unfortunately, in like this is like there are very few, there are probably no other points in human history, in like recorded human history, where the stakes were as high as they are right now. Like we are at a f–king, we’re, we’re at the end, we’re at the end of the road. And like, the way we choose to go it’s going to determine like hey are we going to continue as a species or are we going to f–king burn up in a f–king century?”
When asked about the antifa sticker on his laptop, Jurek said he had participated in some of their protests when they were in Lansing and Ann Arbor, Michigan.
He said the group was hoping for a clash soon over illegal immigration, the video showed.
“There are some here,” Jurek said. “A lot of them are probably on the Bernie campaign, but there is a DSA chapter here so like some of the DSA folks would probably, we’ve been looking for an action to like participate in… But like in regards to immigration and ICE, we’ve been looking for something to pop off so we can f–king pop right back off.”
He explained that several the campaign staff in Sanders’ campaign office were farther left than the candidate.
“What would you consider yourself? Like where on that spectrum?” Jurek was asked on the video.
“I’m an anarcho-communist,” the Bernie organizer answered. “So, I’m as far to the left as you can possibly get… in fact there’s, that I know of, one two three, one two three four, four of the organizers in this office are leftists. So Justin, me, Derek, Danielle, Jessica are all definitely further left than the Democratic Socialists.”
“If you can’t handle me at my most communist, you don’t deserve me at my most anarchist,” Jurek added, making no sense at all.
Project Veritas sent somebody to the campaign office to find out if Jurek was still employed there after the senior officials in Sanders’ campaign had seen the video.
Employees who were there sang the organizer’s praises and said they had heard nothing about his termination.
But as of Wednesday afternoon, Sanders’ Iowa campaign organizers had locked down their Twitter accounts and sources said they’d been ordered to clean up their accounts and delete any offensive posts.
The Democratic President Debate was held in Iowa on Tuesday night, ahead of that state’s early primary voting.
