Manny Folly: Philadelphia Police Officer By Day, Undefeated Boxer By Night
Philadelphia, PA – By day, Manny Folly has a dangerous profession where he is given little recognition. By night, Manny Folly has another dangerous profession, where all eyes are on him.
By day, Manny Folly is a Philadelphia Police Officer. It’s a thankless job, and one that’s filled with danger and challenges. By night, Manny Folly is an undefeated professional fighter.
According to CBS Local Philadelphia, Manny Folly’s record became 10 – 0 on Friday night, with eight knockouts. Friday night’s fight was supposed to go six rounds but the referee called it at 2:18. It was a first round TKO over veteran Luis Hinojosa, whose previous record was 30-11 with 17 KOs.
There is much talk about super bantamweight Manny “Major Pain” Folly being ready for prime time. In response, he said “I’m taking my time, I’m not trying to rush anything.” He also said that he trusts his manager Cameron Dunkin and his promoter Chris Middendorf, and “that he is going to do what they want him to do”.
“This was my toughest opponent on paper that I’ve faced to date. I knew I had to take my time and I did. I had to make my shots count. When you take your time, it shows what happens. It would be great that my next fight is on TV, off TV, before a full house, like tonight, or before one fan in the seats, I’m always going to give my best.”
Thank you Officer Folly, for your service. And ‘Major Pain’, we wish you all of the luck in the world in your boxing future.
