BREAKING: 10 Firefighters Down After Explosion, Buildings On Fire In L.A.

Multiple buildings are on fire with 10 firefighters reported to be down.

Los Angeles, CA – Ten firefighters are reported to be down at the scene of an explosion with multiple buildings on fire in downtown Los Angeles Saturday night.

A large fire with an explosion was reported in the 300 block of East Boyd Street at around 6:36 p.m., according to Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD).

LAFD says that 230 firefighters are on scene in defensive mode as they deal with multiple buildings on fire.

10 firefighters are reported to be “down” but the nature or extent of their injuries has not been released at this time.

The cause of the fire is not immediately apparent, according to KTLA.
