Hit TV Show “Empire” Hailed For Fueling False Narrative Of Police Brutality

In a recent episode, Fox’s hit TV show “Empire,” took up spreading the false narrative spread by the Black Lives Matter movement, claiming racism and brutality in America’s law enforcement. Many viewers are publicly praising the show for taking on “real life problems.”

During the Empire episode in question, Andre, a black male and the oldest son of the protagonist family of the show, is beat up by NYPD officers. The scene displays Andre moving boxes out of his house, the police approach him (for being black) and then begin to “press him out.” The officers advise Andre that they are investigating recent break-ins in the neighborhood. One of the officers asks Andre for his identification, but Andre did not have it on him. He stated it was in his car.

When Andre went to leave, one of the officers grabbed him and slammed him into the pavement. He was handcuffed. His face was pressed hard into the ground and one of the officers pointed a gun to his head. When the scene closes, the screen fades to black to further strike home the false narrative of racism-fueled police brutality that has plagued our nation since the justified shooting of Michael Brown on August 9th, 2014.

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, show writer Carlito Rodriguez stated that they were trying to display an all too common issue within the black community of America. “Unfortunately, in the world we live in, this is fast becoming an everyday thing. And some of us in that writer’s room, we come from the kind of backgrounds where getting pulled over at gunpoint has become routine. Let me not dance around it. I can speak for myself. I’m not comfortable speaking for anybody else in the room, but I can tell you from my own experience, getting pulled over at gunpoint became routine, it became a regular thing. It wasn’t shocking. Whenever I or any of my friends would get pulled over, we would fully expect to get stripped down, thrown against the car, guns in your face, that kind of stuff.”

Unless Rodriguez was routinely caught committing crimes, we think that Rodriguez is re-writing his own experiences with the outrageous claims that police routinely stopped him at gunpoint, stripped him, and stuck guns in his face. While the public may believe his nonsense, as police officers, we know better. This is just one more lie added to the pile of falsehoods used to spread support for Black Lives Matter.

The outpouring support for the show’s episode is quite frankly, disturbing. It paints an eerie outlook on our country in regards to how ignorant the majority of us really are on the topic of race and policing.

As a police officer, this type of ignorance infuriates me. What do you think? Let us know on our Facebook page.

That’s what Obama and Killary have been pushing for so they can declare marshall law and one of them would become judge, jury, and executioner. Take the guns from the legal law abiding citizens and let the criminals keep theirs.

Didn’t one of the stars of this show get caught trying to do a little false narrative fueling in real life?

I tried to watch this show when it first aired. It is an all black cast, thought ok, its going to portray successful company run by a black family. Positive spin. Then I watched it and realized it was portrait of a violent, thug ridden black family complete with an abusive father, a mother who is more concerned about her style and ignorant ghetto associates.

I am now glad I opted to not watch. I would have ended up pissed off.

They need to move this show to BET. Fox is losing credibility by allowing its political views to spill over into its programming. This show COULD have been such a positive view for other black americans.
